OUTSTANDING GCSE RESULTS MATCH RECORD A-LEVELS AT GRENVILLE
Following last week’s best-ever A-Level results, Grenville College’s GCSE students are today celebrating excellent results of their own.
Outstanding individual performances came from Lauren Kandasamy [whose older brother Oliver gained four A-grade A-Levels last week] with ten A* and one A grade, and Jessica Mill with eight A* and three A’s,while triplets Sam, Sophie & Tom Carlyon all did well.
13 year olds Alice Jackson and Tim Hosgood celebrated A grades in Maths, which they took three years early.
Headmaster Andy Waters expressed his delight at the results, which represent tremendous success for students from a wide ability range.
“The quality of teaching, and the hard work of the students at Grenville, have not only secured excellent results for our high achievers, but have also delivered many individual successes that provide a sound platform for further study. Teaching staff have worked just as hard as the students to achieve this level of success, and everyone should feel very proud today. I am really pleased to see a continuation of the strong academic foundation of the College, and further proof of our expertise in meeting the needs of students at many levels.”
GRENVILLE GRABS RECORD A-LEVEL HAUL
Outstanding individual performances came from Merry George and Oliver Kandasamy, with 4 A grades apiece; Oliver also gained two A grades at AS level and will be going up to Oxford to read Physics. Rob Bailey, Emma Brown and Circle Pang also gained an impressive three A grades each.
Grenville’s Headmaster Andy Waters paid tribute to the hard work, commitment and dedication of Grenville’s staff and students.
“These are wonderful results, which show the strength and depth of the Sixth Form at Grenville. Our students are actively encouraged to sit the exams of their choice and many have exceeded their highest expectations. There are a number who may not have believed themselves capable of A Level success who are celebrating today: we are as proud of their achievements as we are of our ‘high flyers’. These results give the students a secure platform for their future education and careers. The Sixth Form and the staff have once again enhanced the College’s academic reputation by their efforts. I am proud and delighted to have such success to celebrate as we prepare for the new academic year.”
