CHATEAU du TERTRE - Oct 2008

This year's trip saw 25 Year 10 and 11 pupils plus 4 staff head off to the Chateau du Tertre, in North West France. The objective was a four day action packed language course to assist students' language knowledge prior to GCSE. The visit included shopping and cooking French food, outdoor activities, town trails, a bakery visit and lunch at a French creperie. The trip was described by Mrs Lewis as the best she has taken - not only was the content of the language course and activities excellent and enjoyed by the students, but the students themselves were brilliant! LANGUAGE AWARENESS WEEK - Sept 2008

Senior School Students took part in Language Awareness Week. Activities on offer included a food tasting quiz, salsa dance lessons, a Latin American music workshop, Chinese script writing and alternative language lessons. The College catering department chose a different country as a theme for each day's menu and the Food Technology students prepared Italian, Chinese, Mexican and Indian dishes.
