OFSTED Inspection Report
June 2008

In early June, an OFSTED Inspector visited Grenville to appraise the College’s Early Birds and Reception classes. In every inspection category, the provision was given the highest OFSTED rating of
"OUTSTANDING."

Among the detailed comments were the following:

Helping children achieve well and enjoy what they do

"Children are animated and enthusiastic."
"Children have constant access to a wide range of books."
"Children join in enthusiastically in the jolly phonics session"
"Children are exceptionally well supported to gain a confident understanding
of different maths concepts"
"Children take part in an inspiring and imaginative range of activities that help them learn about the natural world"
"Children are exceptionally confident in using information and communication technology"
"Their vibrant artwork is clearly highly valued and displayed with great care" "Children are delighted to participate in singing sessions"
"Children take part in an excellent range of outdoor and physical play activities" "Children have regular swimming sessions"
"The quality of teaching and learning is outstanding"
"The staff team are a highly professional team of committed, dynamic and enthusiastic practitioners"
"The exceptionally effective planning ensures children are provided with an exciting and stimulating environment"
"They have access to a range and balance of inspiring activities"

"Partnerships with parents are outstanding"
